My Story

Hi, I’m Carla Vandenbrink from friendly Manitoba. I am a Home-Based Travel Agent with Travel Best Bets. I have a passion for travel and travel planning. I have always been an organizer since I was a young girl and when it came to family trips I excelled - loved every minute of the planning. I have been a Social Worker for over 20 years which has given me the experience to be able to listen empathetically and to be able to care for each client, to ensure they have the best experience from the beginning, during, and end of their Great Adventure.

My family has been very supportive of my career as a Travel Agent. They also reap the benefits of traveling. Nothing was more memorable than standing on the Acropolis and watching my daughter’s eyes light up as the guide told us the history of the Parthenon.

I love seeing the world and I myself have so much to see yet! I enjoy researching and finding the best Adventures and experiences. Every vacation is a holiday and an Adventure. Life is too short to not enjoy doing what you love when you can.

Nothing gives me more pleasure than listening to people, watching the excitement in their faces, and planning exactly what they want so that when they return home, they will have memories for a lifetime.

Carla arranged an amazing once in a lifetime trip for my daughter and I. This included an 8 day Royal Caribbean Cruise to the Greek Islands followed by a land vacation to Venice and Rome.

Carla ensured all arrangements and transfers to and from were arranged. Carla researched various excursions and tailored our trip to our needs. Any last minutes changes that we wanted while on our trip were addressed immediately by Carla and she was readily accessible. Carla went above and beyond and stayed in contact prior, during and afterwards which demonstrates passion for her work and commitment to us as clients.

This is the second Caribbean cruise that Carla has booked for us; my husband and I started cruising in 2024 and we are hooked. Carla has made the trips very easy for us as she takes care of everything: flights; AirBnB; taxis; Ubers; information about excursions if we wanted.
We were well taken care of and this is what we were looking for-to show up and just enjoy a vacation. She is a strong advocate for any issues that arise during the trips and continuously works hardship to “fix” it. It’s a stress free vacation that we totally need, wouldn’t ask anyone else.

And was available 24 hours while away to answer any questions giving us the peace of mind we had someone to assist if something was not right! From Sydney to Vairhs, then by train to Brisbane, back home to Winnipeg, she took care of every detail! Would definitely use her again!!!
